Lincoln Community Bible Church Developing Servants for a Servant-Kingdom - Mark 10:43-45 |
Visitor Information We know that when you visit a church you have many questions. Hopefully we can answer a few of them. What to expect on Sunday Order of Service: We start out with a few announcements, music, Communion (1st Sunday of the month) or a Gospel presentation, a prayer, the message, dismissal and fellowship time. Music: We use a blend of music - hymns, contemporary, praise & worship. We know the importance of the "tried & true" solid hymns used throughout the years. We also select certain contemporary and praise & worship music that believers enjoy. Message: This is our "non-negotiable." Simply put - it is a strong Biblically based study, designed to glean "Life from every word." The message presented by Pastor Jay Newland usually runs from 45 minutes to an hour. To get a better idea of Lincoln Community's teaching style, please consider listening to one of the sermons online here. Dismissal & Fellowship Time: After the service, consider spending some time with us so that we can get to know each other. Size: We are a small church that takes an interest in and cares for all who attend, as they desire.
What to expect from us We want you to feel comfortable. You will not be pointed out or asked to fill out a visitor's card. Nursery and Children's Church for kids under the 5th grade is available for those who wish to listen to the message with a little less juggling. We offer encouragement but you will not be pressured to do anything! This includes giving (we do not "pass a plate"), joining the church, or participating in church activities. We know that we all have different circumstances. The greatest importance to Lincoln Community Bible Church is your growth in the Lord. We know that a "heart for the Lord" can't be forced upon anyone but it's our prayer that as you hear solid Bible teaching, you will grow in the Lord. As people grow, they desire more. It's the hope of Lincoln Community Bible Church to edify you as you desire more.
Are there any other opportunities to study? Besides the Sunday Service, we have a Care Group that meets on Wednesday Nights at 7:00 - both are available to the community (not just our church members). Please call Trae Martin at (704) 462-1142 for additional details.
